This is a ULI Seminar
Qiantan | Plans and Possibilities for a New CBD
ULI Shanghai Seminar
The Qiantan International Business District has attracted attention from media and developers since its establishment in 2012. South of the former World Expo site, Qiantan has attracted investments from high-profile developers such as Tishman Speyer, Swire Properties and Hongkong Land. The first office building and the first retail property are scheduled to be completed in 2017.
Why is Qiantan attractive to international developers? Will Qiantan become "The New Bund", or will it have challenges in its development due to high office supply in Shanghai's suburbs? Will financial companies move over to this new district from Lujiazui? Are retailers interested in expanding into this area? What will the residential price be in Qiantan?
ULI would like to invite you to this seminar to discuss the plans and possibilities of Qiantan.
Relevant Report Colliers International has recently released a white paper about Qiantan, titled "The New Bund - Plans and Possibilities for Qiantan". Colliers has surveyed retailers and office tenants from across 20 industries, and combined the results with an analysis of macroeconomic data, a thorough review of the area's master plan and its knowledge of the city's commercial real estate market to understand the potential of the Qiantan area.
