RMB Internationalization | Ambition Versus Reality
The inclusion of the RMB into IMF reserve currency basket in November 2015 was seen as a major recognition of the Yuan's importance in the global economy and a step towards its eventual internationalization. Yet questions remain about China's ability to manage its currency and whether the RMB is truly ready to be a stabilizing pillar in the global economy (after US$, Euro, and Yen). Join us as we explore the question of whether China's RMB ambitions can face the reality of slowing growth and heady political and financial winds.
