The House of Roosevelt is hosting a talk by Rich Wilson, an alumnus of Harvard College, MIT, and Harvard Business School who, in the 2008 race, was the oldest skipper in the fleet to complete the grueling Vendee Globe single-handed around the world race. Harvard alumni are cordially invited to join this exciting talk.
Rich will speak about his experiences using sailing as a platform for innovations in K-12 education through his SitesAlive foundation. Having suffered from asthma since childhood, Rich also shows that neither chronic illness nor age need limit what one can accomplish in life.
During his talk, Rich will relate many of the adventures that feature in his book: Race France To France: Leave Antarctica To Starboard.
Cost: RMB 150. Seats are limited. Please RSVP by November 10, 2014 to Cici Tang at [email protected] or 021-2322-0807.
